With or without juice groove?

What the juice groove does

When you carve a piece of meat, a pineapple or a ripe tomato, liquid is released. Without a groove it runs off the board. The groove catches it, so your worktop stays clean.

Who is it for?

For anyone who often cuts or carves meat, cuts a lot of fruit or also uses the board to serve on. A piece of meat resting on the board always releases juices.

When is it better without?

If you mostly cut vegetables and bread, a board without a groove is more use to you. The whole surface is then workspace and you simply sweep what you have cut from the edge into the pan. That is the regular wooden cutting board.

Keeping the groove clean

Wash the board with warm water and run the cutting board brush through the groove. When oiling, rub the oil into the groove with the cloth as well, because that is where moisture sits most often.
