good to know

How it works for hospitality.

Made to measure for your dish

A board for a steak needs a different size from a board for bar snacks. You tell us what goes on it, we suggest a size and thickness.

A sample board first

You first get one board to try out in your own kitchen and on your own tables. Only when that one is right do we make the rest.

Your logo burned in

The logo is burned into the wood, not printed. So it does not come off, not even with daily washing by hand.

Reordering takes one email

We keep your size and engraving on record. If you need more later, an email is enough. Starting small is fine.

a story for the table

Every board gives someone a fresh start.

Our boards are made by hand in a training workshop in Friesland, where people at a distance from the labour market learn a trade. A story you can tell your guests.

Can the boards go in the dishwasher?

No. You wash wooden boards by hand and dry them straight away. In the dishwasher the wood dries out and can crack.

How do I look after the boards in a busy kitchen?

Wash, dry and leave to dry upright. Oil twice a month, or more often if the wood feels dry.
