Burned in, not printed
A printed cutting board wears: the print fades through cutting and washing. We burn the logo into the wood. That leaves it slightly recessed and darker than the wood around it. It stays for as long as the board lasts.
What can go on it?
A logo, a company name, a short text or an illustration. It works best with clear lines and solid areas; very fine details and colour gradients are lost in wood. Send your file along and you will get a proposal back before we make anything. On the engraving page you can already try it out.

You choose from the wooden cutting board of 45 x 36 cm, the cutting board with juice groove, the butcher block of 6 cm thick and the serving board. All solid beech.

Engraving is possible from 25 pieces. If the TheWootz logo stays on the front and your engraving goes on the back, it is possible from as few as 10 pieces. Allow about 14 days until delivery, depending on the quantity. The price is on request and depends on quantity and board.

What is the difference between engraving and printing?
With printing, ink is put on the wood. It wears off through cutting and washing. With engraving, the logo is burned into the wood. It is then in the material itself and does not come off any more.

Which file should I supply?
Preferably a vector file, such as AI, EPS, SVG or PDF. If you only have a PNG or JPG, send it in the highest quality you have. You always get to see a proposal first.
Can each board have a different name?
Yes, that is possible. State in your request that it concerns individual names and how many boards, and we will include that in the quote.
