Why grapeseed oil?
A cutting board oil has to be suitable for food, because you cut your food on it. Grapeseed oil is food safe. It is thin, soaks well into the wood and has no smell. So you taste nothing of it. More about the choice in Which oil for a wooden cutting board?
How to use it
Rub 20 ml in thinly with a cloth, including the edges. Let the oil soak in for 4 hours and wipe off what is left on the surface. Do this twice a month. A new board gets a generous coat the first time, which can soak in overnight.
Which bottle?
With one board, 250 ml lasts about six months and 500 ml a year. The 20 ml bottle is exactly one treatment. The oil calculator works it out for your number of boards.

Which oil is suitable for a wooden cutting board?
An oil that is suitable for food, gives off no smell and soaks well into the wood. Our care oil is 100% grapeseed oil, with no additives.
Can I use olive oil?
Preferably not. Olive oil is thicker, soaks into the wood less well and has its own smell and taste. Grapeseed oil is thin and odourless.
How often should I oil my cutting board?
Twice a month, with about 20 ml per board. If the wood feels dry, a little sooner.
