About this product
A cloth rubs oil across the surface. A brush works the oil in, into the pores, the edges and the juice groove where a cloth never reaches.
This brush comes as standard with our care kits and has become the part people most often ask for separately. If you have lost it, if it is worn out, or if you only had the oil at home, you can now order it on its own.
More brushes, a much lower price
One brush per board works best: oil and wax stay separate, and there is always one within reach. That is why the price per piece drops sharply as soon as you take more.

How to care for your board →Everything you want to know.
Why a brush and not just a cloth?
A cloth spreads oil over the surface. The brush works the oil in, right into the pores, the edges and the juice groove, where a cloth does not reach.
What is the brush made of?
The handle is 100% beech, engraved with the TheWootz logo. The bristles are plant fibres.
How do I use the brush?
Apply a thin layer of board oil and work it in with the brush in small circles, along the grain. Go over corners, edges and the juice groove extra thoroughly. Let the oil soak in for 4 hours and wipe off the excess with a clean cloth.
Is this the same brush as in the care sets?
Yes. It is the brush from the care sets with oil, cloth and brush, sold separately as a replacement or as an extra brush.
Is there a discount if I take more brushes?
Yes. The more brushes you take, the less you pay per piece. Choose 2, 5 or 10 to see what you save. One brush per board works best.
How do I care for my wooden cutting board?
After use, wash it briefly with warm water and a little washing-up liquid, dry it straight away and leave it to dry upright. Twice a month, give it 20 ml of TheWootz board oil: rub it in thinly with a cloth and let it soak in, five minutes' work. If the wood feels dry or turns dull, do it a little more often. A thin layer of beeswax afterwards seals the wood further. Never in the dishwasher and never left to soak.

Shipping to the Netherlands and Belgium is free from 25 euros. If you order for less, you pay 2,99 euros shipping. A board costs more than 25 euros, so we always ship it free of charge.
Can I return my order?
