Description:
Your wooden cutting board deserves the best care. TheWootz board oil is 100% grapeseed oil, food safe and odourless. No additives, no chemicals. Just what wood needs, in a premium glass design bottle you will proudly put on display in your kitchen.
Why grapeseed oil? Grapeseed oil soaks deep into the wood and nourishes it from the inside. It helps prevent drying out and cracking and brings back the natural colour of the wood.
Food safe and odourless. The oil contains no additives that pass taste or smell on to your food. Safe for all wooden kitchenware that comes into contact with food, from cutting boards to serving plates and wooden spoons.
Economical and easy to use. A small amount goes a long way. The 500 ml bottle is enough for many treatments. Simply apply with a cloth, let it soak in for a while and you're done.
Suitable for all your wooden kitchenware. Works on all types of wood: oak, beech, acacia, bamboo and more. Ideal for cutting boards, butcher blocks, serving boards, wooden spoons and spatulas.

How to care for your board →Everything you want to know.
What kind of bottle does this oil come in?
In a glass design bottle with a wooden cap, holding 500 ml of TheWootz board oil made of 100% grapeseed oil. A bottle you can simply leave out in your kitchen.
How long does 500 ml of oil last?
You use about 20 ml per treatment, so 500 ml is good for twenty-five treatments. If you oil one board twice a month, it lasts about a year.
Is the oil food-safe?
Yes. It is 100% grapeseed oil without additives, food-safe and odourless. It leaves no taste or smell on your food.
Why grapeseed oil and not olive oil?
Olive oil and other oils from the kitchen cupboard go rancid in the wood after a while and start to smell. Grapeseed oil does not go rancid and is odourless.
How do I apply the oil?
Make sure the board is clean and dry, apply a thin layer with a soft cloth or the TheWootz brush and let the oil soak in for 4 hours. Then wipe off whatever has not soaked in with a clean cloth. Give a new board a generous coat the first time and let it soak in overnight.
How do I care for my wooden cutting board?
After use, wash it briefly with warm water and a little washing-up liquid, dry it straight away and leave it to dry upright. Twice a month, give it 20 ml of TheWootz board oil: rub it in thinly with a cloth and let it soak in, five minutes' work. If the wood feels dry or turns dull, do it a little more often. A thin layer of beeswax afterwards seals the wood further. Never in the dishwasher and never left to soak.
Read the care guide →How quickly is my order delivered?

What does shipping cost?
Shipping to the Netherlands and Belgium is free from 25 euros. If you order for less, you pay 2,99 euros shipping. A board costs more than 25 euros, so we always ship it free of charge.
Can I return my order?
Yes. A 14-day cooling-off period. Returns are possible unused and in the original packaging, return costs are for you. The statutory warranty applies to everything. The period starts on the day you receive your order. Let us know before you send anything back.
