Why grapeseed oil?
Not all oils are suitable for wooden cutting boards. Grapeseed oil dries completely, does not go rancid, and is 100% food-safe. The oil penetrates deep into the wood pores, nourishing the wood from within. No sticky residue, no unpleasant odor. Just pure protection.

The microfibre cloth
The included TheWootz microfibre cloth (40x40cm, 450 g/m²) is not a cheap promotional cloth. It's the same professional cloth we sell separately. Thick, absorbent, and soft enough to distribute the oil evenly without damaging the wood. With the THEWOOTZ logo embroidered on the corner.

Instructions for use
- Ensure the cutting board is clean and dry
- Apply a small amount of grapeseed oil to the microfibre cloth
- Rub the oil in circular motions over the entire surface
- Allow the oil to soak in for 4 hours
- Remove any excess residue with the clean side of the cloth
- Repeat twice a month, or sooner if the wood feels dry

What is in this set?
TheWootz board oil, 250 ml (100% grapeseed oil) and a 40 x 40 cm microfibre cloth.
What is the microfibre cloth for?
The microfibre cloth (40 x 40 cm, 450 g/m²) is for spreading the oil thinly and evenly and for wiping off excess oil once it has soaked in.
How long does 250 ml of oil last?
You use about 20 ml per treatment, so 250 ml is good for just over twelve treatments. If you oil one board twice a month, it lasts about six months.
How do I apply the oil?
Make sure the board is clean and dry, apply a thin layer with a soft cloth or the TheWootz brush and let the oil soak in for 4 hours. Then wipe off whatever has not soaked in with a clean cloth. Give a new board a generous coat the first time and let it soak in overnight.
How do I care for my wooden cutting board?
After use, wash it briefly with warm water and a little washing-up liquid, dry it straight away and leave it to dry upright. Twice a month, give it 20 ml of TheWootz board oil: rub it in thinly with a cloth and let it soak in, five minutes' work. If the wood feels dry or turns dull, do it a little more often. A thin layer of beeswax afterwards seals the wood further. Never in the dishwasher and never left to soak.

Shipping to the Netherlands and Belgium is free from 25 euros. If you order for less, you pay 2,99 euros shipping. A board costs more than 25 euros, so we always ship it free of charge.
Can I return my order?
Yes, you have 14 days to change your mind from the day you receive your order. Let us know, send the product back unused and undamaged in its original packaging, and you get your money back. The cost of returning it is yours.
